Join Wendy on Tuesday mornings, November 11 & 18 from 10-12. $55 plus materials. This is a wonderful cowl, for the advanced beginner and beyond, that looks great in any yarn with a bit of drape to it. Uncomplicated yet beautiful, it complements any outfit or outerwear. The pattern begins by casting on the circumference of the cowl, using any multiple of 8 stitches to get the exact length you’d like. Then, using a combination of two simple lace knitting patterns and plain stockinette in the round, this pattern will keep you interested without being overwhelming. Learn the Moebius cast on, how to connect your knitting in the round, and then work some approachable lace that is fun for either first-timers or more experienced lace knitters. This piece would turn out beautifully for a luxurious yet uncomplicated gift in Jade Sapphire 4-ply Cashmere or Mimi Mink, and also in Blue Sky Alpacas Melange, any gorgeous SweetGeorgia yarn, our new cozy Class, or even Paloma or Misti Alpaca for a chunkier version. Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for our classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
