You have been requesting a beginning cardigan class, and here it is. In this class we will learn the techniques involved in producing a  top-down sweater. This type of construction is particularly pleasing as you can try the work on as you go, and the final result is virtually seamless…almost no finishing required! “Heathered” is a wardrobe staple–a classic, feminine cardigan with a simple textured stitch at the yoke, and optional set-in pockets. Techniques to master include the basics of top-down structure, a variety of increase and decrease methods, simple shaping, pocket construction, and working the placket. And in the end you will have your very own hand-made sweater!

Advance preparation may be required depending on the class topic. Details will be provided one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, and extra help outside of class if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
