Once you start thinking of all the ways to use this adorable bird, you will end up making a whole flock! Attach it to a loop and hang it from the Christmas tree, or attach it to a clip and secure it right to the branch. Knit several to create a hanging mobile for a nursery or child’s room. Use it to add a personal touch to gift wrap. Choose brights and pastels for spring decorations, or use white for a beautiful dove. This bluebird knits up fast in the round and is a great introduction to short row shaping or toy making. You can choose any yarn that speaks to you; the finished bird will be larger or smaller depending on the yarn choice. Our hand-dyed yarns (SweetGeorgia Trinity Worsted, ArtYarns Zara, Baah Sonoma) would look especially beautiful and “feathery.”

Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for our classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
