Bock Party 7

February 3, 2015 @ 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm

Our next installment of Block Party 7 with Nanci continues on Tuesday, February 3 from 6-7:45.

You have asked about it and now it is here!  Block Party 7 – Crochet. These blocks will start with a simple single crochet in multiple colors and progress to techniques that include clusters, bobbles, colorwork motifs, and lace. Instruction each month will include patterns with charts. Students should be familiar with basic crochet: foundation chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet. The blanket will be a combination of a main color and three additional accent colors. Suitable yarns include The Fibre Company’s Tundra (come see the sample blocks), Cascade 128, and Misti Alpaca. For this class you will need 2200-2400 yards of yarn purchased from Compatto and a crochet hook in the size appropriate for your yarn. 4 colors — 5 multi-color blocks, 4 single-color blocks

Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for our classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
