Clapotis Drop Stitch Scarf/Wrap

June 16, 2016 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Join Gabriella on Thursdays, June 16, 23 & 30 from 2-4pm.  $85 plus materials.

22,000 Ravelers can’t be wrong! The Clapotis is a timeless classic. You’ll work it on the bias, meaning you’ll cast on at a corner, increase to the width you want, work increases on one side and decreases on the other, then taper to the opposite corner. Along the way, you’ll learn a deceptively simple drop-stitch technique that gives you a lot of bang for your design buck. The pattern shows off variegated yarns beautifully–come see the sample in our custom color from Baah Yarns, Compatto’s Spring Serenity. Or pick a single-color hand dye to put more emphasis on the stitchwork.

Advance preparation may be required depending on the class topic. Details will be provided one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, and extra help outside of class if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
