Intermediate Weaving – Waffle Weave Baby Blanket/Afghan

When:
July 14, 2015 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Join Kara on Tuesdays, July 14 & 21 from 2-5pm. $75 plus materials.

Learn to weave a waffle stitch using pick-up sticks and make an adorable baby blanket or sofa throw. This is a very soft, textured weave resembling a waffle. Choose different colors, weave it a little longer, and you will have a beautiful afghan. The blanket is woven in panels, hemmed, then joined and edged in a simple crochet stitch. Ideal yarns for baby are Cascade 128 Superwash (come see our sample) and Blue Sky Worsted Cotton. For an afghan to complement your home decor, browse the beautiful hand dyed colors of SweetGeorgia Superwash Six, Ella Rae Lace Merino Chunky, Lotus Cashmere Chunky, or Blue Sky Worsted Hand Dyes. Required materials: 20” loom, 7.5 dpi reed, 22” pick up stick.

Classes must have at least three participants in order to run. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
