The Key to Warmth (Mosaic Cowl)

When:
November 4, 2014 @ 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm

Join Mary Beth on Tuesday nights, November 4, 11 & 18 from 6:00-7:45pm. $75 plus materials.

Our newest Noro yarn, Obi, is the perfect match for our Juniper Moon Marlowe wool/silk blend. And The Key to Warmth cowl is just vehicle to show them off! You’ll cast on in the round and learn to work the Greek key mosaic pattern. If you’ve thought about expanding into colorwork, mosaic knitting is a great intro, since you only have to carry one yarn at a time. There is some gentle shaping involved, to allow it to drape around the neck. If you’d prefer a stand-up cowl, the pattern can be modified. It can also be altered to allow for lighter weight yarns, if there’s a particular one you’ve got your eye on.

Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for our classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
