Katherine Hepburn might have worn a sweater like this — elegant, and just a bit sporty. The Olympia Pullover is one of those basic sweaters you’ll reach for again and again. Refined, classic and simple; like a Greek column. The two by two rib construction gives your curves a slight hug but the weight of the bulky yarn lets this garment hang with a bit of gentle drape. Turned up cuffs and a minimalist neck trim make for a clean and modern finish. This sweater is worked in one piece, adding on the separately knit arms once you reach the armholes. Shaping at the top is simple and easy to accomplish. Designed for using the wonderful Swans Island Bulky on a #10 needle, you can also use the Blue Sky Worsted Hand Dyed, Misti Alpaca, Tundra, Organic Cotton, or Marlowe for a variegated hand-dyed look.

Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for our classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
