This clever design is from Alasdair Post-Quinn, author of Extreme Double-Knitting. But don’t worry, this design is striking without being too extreme. Using just two colors in a charted pattern, you will create a reversible scarf with a cool optical illusion design. Along the way, you’ll learn cast on and bind off technique for double-knitting, as well as a polished edge treatment. The store sample uses two tones of plum in the smooth, drapey Blue Sky Alpaca Silk. Other great yarn choices include Baah Aspen, SweetGeorgia Superwash Sock, and Jade Sapphire 4-Ply Cashmere.

Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for our classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
