With May comes college decision time. Now that you know their school colors, it’s time to get knitting! If you’ve got a senior heading off to college in the fall, this hat and scarf are the perfect accessories to show their campus pride. The Hit the Bricks scarf is knit the long way, with slipped stitches making the “mortar” between the “bricks”. The Howzat hat is worked in the round, with a striped brim and cabled crown (pompom optional). In this class, you can make either project or both! Use two or three colors of a worsted or DK weight yarn, such as SweetGeorgia Trinity Worsted, Jil Eaton Minnow Merino, or Filatura di Crosa Zara.

Advance preparation may be required depending on the class topic. Details will be provided one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, and extra help outside of class if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
