Stitch Block Cowl

When:
September 4, 2014 @ 2:00 pm โ€“ 4:00 pm

Join Rachel on Thursdays, September 4, 11 & 18 from 2-4pm. $75 plus materials.

Are you tired of stockinette stitch? Shake up your knitting with this cowl that has just enough interest to keep you knitting away. When you want to work on something rhythmic, but not quite brainless, this pattern will engage you with colorwork and a special technique, but is no more difficult than knits and purls. The class will offer tips for working with multiple colors (although there is only one color in any given row), as well as how to read your knitting to follow the pattern more easily. The finished cowl is wrapped around the neck to create effortless style. Rachel knitted the store sample out of the squishy and soft SweetGeorgia Trinity Worsted, however there are endless options for yarn choice. The pattern is easy to adapt to different yarn weights and would look and feel amazing in Jade Sapphire Cashmere, Mimi Mink, or Llama Sparkle.

Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for our classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
