This open work shawl is a fun quick project for an adventurous beginner or intermediate knitter. Knit in worsted or aran weight cotton, it makes a great summer shawl for those cool evenings — or knit in something warmer for year-round use. Although it looks like it’s crocheted, this piece is knit using decreases and yarnovers. Techniques used include increases and decreases, an optional garter tab, and adding fringe.
