Wispy Woven Scarf – Beginning/Intermediate Weaving

When:
September 15, 2015 @ 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Join Kara on Tuesday, September 15 from 2-7pm. $75 plus materials.

Great for a second or third weaving project! If you’re not quite ready for wide warps but want to practice your weaving skills, try something a bit different with this wispy scarf. In this class, you will make a simple scarf while learning how warp sett affects the look and feel of fabric, and how by varying the density of the warp you can create open and loose weaves that are still stable and durable. This scarf is most effective using a fingering or sock weight yarn such as Blue Sky Metalico or SweetGeorgia Merino Silk Fine. Limited class size, so please sign up early.

Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for our classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
