This series of classes is a “custom made” course. Each student gets to pick his or her own project to work on during the two-class session. Every class includes an informative presentation or demonstration of a particular knitting and/or crochet operation or trick. Then each student gets guidance on their individual project from start to finish. Each month has a new set of skills that are taught, which means you can continue on month after month if you like, knitting and crocheting the projects you want and increasing your knowledge. You never know what you’ll learn in this class unless you’re there! So enjoy the camaraderie of fiber arts friends, work on a project that you want to do, and learn something new each week. Skill level: comfortable beginner — knitters must know how to cast on, knit, and purl confidently; crocheters should be confident with the chain, single, half-double and double crochet.
Advance preparation may be required depending on the class topic. Details will be provided one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, and extra help outside of class if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
