Knitting for a Good Cause

August 24, 2018 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Join Wendy on Fridays in August, starting August 10, from 10-12pm. No charge, only materials.

Come into Compatto and join the knitting circle to make blankets to donate to Our House.  Our House is a grief support center whose mission is to provide the community with support services through groups for adults, teens and, uniquely, children.  You can provide someone on the journey to hope and healing with the “hug” of a cozy handmade blanket. You can choose to make an entire blanket, or pieces, which will be put together into entire blankets.  We will provide some ideas for your piece, or bring in one of your own….. maybe even learn a new technique.

These sessions will be free of charge, just some time to put our talents to use for a good cause.   We only ask that you knit with Compatto yarn.

Advance preparation may be required depending on the class topic. Details will be provided one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, and extra help outside of class if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
