Inspired by Santa Fe and its architecture, the colors in this comfortable, long wrap evokes adobe houses with bright splashes of turquoise or purple on their doors or trims.

The rectangular shawl features colorful stripes and an easy yet stunning mosaic (slip-stitch) pattern on each end. Mosaic knitting is done with only one color at a time and the result looks just like stranded colorwork (but without the difficulty…). The wrap is worked from one short end to the center, the second half is knit to match, and the ends are then grafted together at the center.

Advance preparation may be required depending on the class topic. Details will be provided one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, and extra help outside of class if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Yarn for classes must come from Compatto Yarn Salon, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. If you have questions about this or any other class, please give us a call at 310-453-2130.
